Expo/Food Runner

About the Role:

The Food Runner is an essential part of our restaurant team, working directly with both the kitchen and wait staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. You will be responsible for delivering food orders to tables accurately and promptly, while also assisting with other tasks to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Deliver food orders from the kitchen directly to customers' tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety regulations.

Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure clear order flow and address any questions or concerns.

Exhibit a positive and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, even when busy.

Learn and maintain a working knowledge of the menu items to answer basic guest inquiries.

Keep the serving station stocked with necessary supplies like plates, utensils, and napkins.

Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in training materials.

Qualifications:

1 Year of experience in food service industry.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong teamwork mentality with a willingness to help others.

A positive and friendly attitude that contributes to a welcoming atmosphere.

Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.

Food Handler & TABC Certified.

Basic knowledge of food safety regulations.
